
Olyer Challice Humphrey was born January 31, 1917 in Coosa County, Alabama. She entered her eternal rest Saturday, February 17, 2018 surrounded by her two daughters, Shirley Pody and Wanda Rayfield and her beloved caretaker, Angela Stone. Challice was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Humphrey, father, William Henry McClure, mother, Maggie Missouri McClure, and her twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Pody (Stewart) and Wanda Rayfield (Jerry N.), grandchildren: Kelly Freeman, Leigh Ann Hudon, Jerry N. Rayfield Jr., and Sabrina Lee Kilgore, great grandchildren: Chally Warren, Clara Freeman, Hannah Freeman, Maggie Rayfield, Trey Rayfield, Jack Hudon, Caroline Hudon, John Michael Kilgore, David Kilgore, and Juliette Kilgore, Great-great grandchild, Harper Ray Warren. The family will hold a private internment service at Evergreen Cemetery, followed by a service, celebrating her life at the First Presbyterian Church, in Sylacauga, where family and friends are invited, at 11am, with Dr. David Freeman, Rev. Charles Sims officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the First Presbyterian church, Humane Society, or, The Ark of South Talladega County.
