Corey Shane Byrd

Maryville, TN - Funeral service for Corey Shane Byrd, 30, will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel in Sylacauga, AL. with Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating.  Burial will be in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery in Weogufka, AL.

Mr. Byrd passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Lodis and Minnie Ezekiel and his paternal grandfather, Howard Byrd.

Corey was a native of Weogufka, AL. He was a current resident of Maryville, TN, where he lived with his daughter Ava and girlfriend Alley.

As a young boy Corey’s hobbies included riding/showing horses and karate. But, Corey was best known for motocross racing. #27

Corey is survived by his daughter, Ava Louise Byrd and her mother, Allison Kristin Nicole Pearson or as we know her “Alley”; his parents, Teddy and Wanda Byrd; younger brother and best friend, Camron Byrd and his wife Marlee; grandmother, Betty Jean Byrd; grandparents, Bobby and Jane Ezekiel; two aunts, Angela Marie Riggsby and Rhonda Robbins; and three uncles, Eddie Howard Byrd, Kevin Adair Ezekiel, and Wayne Scott Ezekiel.

Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL.

Pallbearers will be Gary Pearson, Chris Ezekiel, Tyler Riggsby, Reed Ezekiel, Eddie Byrd, David Junior Hagood, Doo Chandler, and Codey Ezekiel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Riggsby, Trent Riggsby, Shane Payton, Aaron Davis, Mitch McDaniel, Shane Pearson, and Muzzy Zeigler.
