
Ernest Lee WilsonSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Ernest Lee Wilson, 90, will be Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Dr. Michael Trull officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Wilson died Friday, September 6, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. The son of John and Alma Wilson, he was a member of Marble City Baptist Church and a founding member of the Sylavon Baptist Mission where he served as deacon. He was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving in World War II with General Patton. He and his brother Roy opened and operated the Dairy Queen in Sylacauga for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez B. Wilson and brothers, Roy Wilson and Raymond Wilson.He is survived by wife, Faye Wilson; son, Roger Wilson, wife Patricia, of Birmingham; daughter, Jan Williamson, husband Lyndol, of Montgomery; sister, Lois Blalock of Clanton; 2 grandchildren, Chad Williamson and Lynsey Williamson Smith; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step children, 6 step grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Ray Faulkner, Steve Embry, Phil Johnson, David Wilder, Harvey McCoy, Don Wilson and Keith Wilson.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
