Faira Diane HughesSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Faira Diane Hughes, 60, will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God with Rev. Don Davis officiating.  She will lie in state at the church starting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mrs. Hughes died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents King and Sadie Ford, two brothers, Ted Ford and Bobby Ford.  Mrs. Hughes was a member of First Assembly of God of Sylacauga.  She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister.  The family wishes to thank Amedisys Home Health Hospice for their kindness and the care they provided.She is survived by husband of 44 years, Alvin "Buster" Hughes of Sylacauga, daughter, Misty D. Smith of Sylacauga, brother, Jerry Ford of Fayetteville, AL, sister, Beverly Shelnutt of Fayetteville, AL and grandson, Kylan Smith of Sylacauga.Visitation will be Tuesday May 19, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral HomeIn Lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to First Assembly of God in memory of Diane Ford Hughes.Pallbearers will be Gregg Hammonds, Hunter Hammonds, Tim Shelnutt, Scott Shelnutt, Warren Ford, Larry Ford and Chris Heath.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
