Gene L. (Tom) Grimes, Sr.Weogufka - Funeral service for Gene L. (Tom) Grimes, Sr., 80, will be Friday, September 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Blackmon, Rev. Brandon Baird and Harold Giddens officiating. Burial will follow in Grimes Chapel Cemetery.Mr. Grimes, Sr. died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Marie Grimes and wife Betty Lou Grimes.He is survived by son, Gene L. Grimes, Jr., wife Karen of Weogufka; daughter, Belinda Grimes Deason, husband Jody of Sylacauga; brother, James S. Grimes, wife Dotty of Weogufka; sister, Clara M. (Hallie) Grimes of Weogufka; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
