Gene Autrey Smith

Alpine, AL. - Gene Autrey Smith, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Gene is survived by his sisters, Ruth A. Basilone, Prisicilla "Dale" Ward; niece, Jasmun Basilone Simpson (Tyler); nephews, Alan Smith, Bobby Ellenburg, Gary Neil Carr; and his dogs Coco and Lucy.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Smith & Eva Lou Bice; brother, Louie Robert Smith; and nephews, Dennis Smith, William Oliver Carr, and Ricky Smith.

A visitation for Gene will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Gene will be laid to rest in McCormick Cemetery, 5203 Hollis Goodwin Road, Dora, AL 35062.
