Sylacauga, AL - Heather Dawn Thomas, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away unexpectantly in her home August 7th, 2023 at the age of 38.
She was born May 29th, 1985 in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert Wayne Thomas and Hellen Gillespie Thomas (Alexander City, AL). She graduated from Horseshoe Bend High School, Newsite, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband of 9 year, Chris Guinn; two sons, Rush Henry Guinn, Carson Duke Guinn; daughter, Highland Kate Guinn of Sylacauga, AL; parents, Wayne and Hellen Thomas (Alexander City, AL); grandmother, Stella Hammonds Thomas (Alexander City, AL); sister, Tammy (John) Mitchell (Alexander City); brother, Devin Thomas (Alexander City); father-in-law, Henry Rush Guinn; nephew, Thomas Seth O’Neal (Auburn, AL); and nieces, Reid (Derrick) Roberts (Dora, AL) and Reagan (Adam) Richie (Hayden, AL).
Heather also leaves several cousins and many beloved friends to cherish her memory.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Emillie Lescuille Sherum (Alexander City,AL); grandfather, Walter Harold Gillespie; grandfather, Robert J Thomas (Alexander City, AL); and mother-in-law, Doris Guinn.
Heather found her calling in life as a homemaker to her husband and three children and a caregiver to her family and pets.
A visitation for Heather will be held Thursday, August 10th, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150 followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
