Henry Lee Bailey

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Henry Lee Bailey, 85, will be Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Donnie Blackmon officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mr. Bailey died Monday, October 14, 2019 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bailey, and parents, John and Cora Bailey.  Mr. Bailey was a longtime member of the gospel group, The Bearden Family where he played the bass guitar.  Henry worked hard at Avondale Mills for 42 years.  He couldn't sit still after retiring so he went and worked at Fred's for 4 years.  Henry was honorably discharged from the Army in 1957.  He was saved at a young age and was a strong believer.  Henry dearly loved his family and had many friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Holmes; grandson, Alan Brooks; brother, Johnny Lee Bailey; and sister, Betty Jean Bailey.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
