Hugh Frank Turney Sr.

Funeral service for Mr. Hugh Frank Turney, Sr., age 71, of Sylacauga will be Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2 PM at the 2nd Baptist Church of Weogufka with Brother Brandon Baird officiating. Mr. Turney will lie-in-state at the church from 1-2PM and visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5:30-8PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Turney was born and raised in Coosa County, a hard worker, a loving husband of 52 years. He was a kind hearted and a loving father and grandfather. He was always there when needed. He was a man’s man but an old softie too! Mr. Turney will be sorely missed and long remembered. Best of all he made Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior 4 months before his death. Now he resides in Heaven Square! He is survived by his Wife of 52 years: Sarah E. Turney of Stewartville, Sons: Johnny E. Turney (Julie) of Weogufka, Frank Turney, Jr. (Kathy) of Sylacauga, Jimmy C. Turney of Stewartville, Daughters: Cindy Turney Kromer (Jeff) of Sylacauga, Cathy Turney Shaw (Rodney) of Sylacauga, Brother: Henry E. Turney of Gainsville, Fl., Sister: Wylene Sprayberry of Sylacauga, 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the services.
