Jack O. PerrySylacauga, AL - Graveside service for Jack O. Perry, 96, will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Joe Camp officiating. Mr. Perry died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wives, Ella Samson Perry of 57 years and Zadie Skelton Perry of 14 years. He loved his parrot, Bud. Mr. Perry was a veteran of World War II where he was awarded 3 purple hearts. He is the last triple Purple Heart Medal survivor in the state of Alabama. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an honorable, gentle and kind man.He is survived by his step-son, Earsey Skelton; step-daughter, Rena King, husband Van; sister, Victoria Tyler; 15 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
