James Calvin "Jimmy" MurphySylacauga, AL - Funeral service for James Calvin "Jimmy" Murphy, 74, will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Donald Grice and Rev. Donnie Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Murphy died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his residence. He was a member of Unity Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from the Road Department of Talladega County.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie Ruth Murphy of Sylacauga, daughter, JoAnn Green, husband David of Childersburg, brothers, Billy Murphy, Bobby Murphy, Clyde Murphy and Gene Murphy all of Sylacauga; sisters, Penny Jacobs and Peggy Wideman, both of Sylacauga; grandchildren, David Green, wife Jennifer and Adrian Giddens, husband Jarried; great-grandchildren, Allie Giddens and Owen Green. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Pallbearers will be Bubba Green, Jarried Giddens, Michael Cosby, Tony Rhodes, Donald Murphy and Jackie Wideman.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
