Mr. Johnny Lenwood Waites

Johnny worked for Delta Airlines for 30 years and was married for 61 years to the love of his life, Shirley.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Shirley Waites; his son, Kevin Waites (Teresa); his daughter, Amy Waites; his granddaughter, Kaylee Beasley and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Nolen and Artie Waites; and his siblings, Mary Sue Law, Betty Jean Spraggins, and Douglas Waites.

A visitation for Johnny will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Weogufka Family Worship Center, 20771 Coosa Co Rd 29, Weogufka, AL 35183, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tommy Thornton will officiate the service.

Johnny will be laid to rest in Weogufka Family Worship Center Cemetery, 20771 Coosa Co Rd 29, Weogufka, AL 35183.
