It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and unwavering love to all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Pam Plexico, his children Alex Plexico (Sarah), Matthew Plexico, Kyle Cotton (Addie), and Kari Sides (Clay), grandchildren Will and Joycelyn Cotton, Adleigh, Mary Clayton, and Mozelle Sides, his sister Leesa Plexico, and brother Van Allen Plexico (Ami) and James Plexico (Shannon).
He was preceded in death by his mother Annette Davenport Plexico and his father Joseph Lee Plexico Jr.
He was a devoted family man who took great pride in being a loving husband and a steady guiding father. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. As a brother he was a constant source of support, loyalty, and love, creating bonds that will never be broken.
He built a career as a dedicated car salesman for over 35 years where he finally found his forever job at Tuscaloosa Toyota where his honesty, work ethic, and genuine care for others earned him respect and trust of his colleagues and customers for over 12 years. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel valued and at ease.
In his free time, he found joy in the simple pleasure of life. Whether casting a line on a quiet morning or spending the afternoon on the golf course, he embraced the outdoors with a grateful heart. Fishing and golf were more than hobbies, they were moments of peace, reflection, and happiness.
Above all he as a man of strong faith. His belief in God guided his life, shaped his character, and gave him the strength to face every challenge with grace. He lived his faith daily through kindness, compassion, and love for others.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his warm smile, steady presence, and the love he gave freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
