Larry W. Barnett Sr.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gwendolyn Rebecca Barnett (Becky); one daughter, Jessica Rushing (Mark WIngfield), three sons, Wayne Barnett (Sherry), Steve Barnett, Jeremy Barnett (Crystal); seven grandchildren, Shay Barnett, Raegan Rushing, Hayden and Zane Barnett, Robert, Raya, and Reese WIngfield; one great grandchild, Paxton Goodpastor; two sisters, Denise Barnett and Margaret Bassett.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Oliver and Irene Barnett; step-son, Scott Rayfield; one brother, Jackie Barnett; one sister, Mary Ellis.

A visitation for Larry will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 12 pm - 1 pm at Sycamore Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 1 pm with brother Trull Hill officiating.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Lineville Health and Rehab staff.

The family will be receiving flowers or in lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

While growing up, Larry attended Sycamore Baptist Church. He later joined SBC again when he was in his 40's. He could not attend church for the last few years, but looked forward to watching online every Sunday. Larry loved to play ball, especially baseball. He was also an avid golfer. Larry worked for Kimberly Clark until he retired in 2001 due to health issues. He batted Alzheimer's and dementia for nine years. He had a long hard journey, but he never really complained.
