Marise Watson Hawthorne

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Marise Watson Hawthorne, 89, will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.

Mrs. Hawthorne died Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theron and Edith Watson, husband of 58 years, Robert F. Hawthorne, son, Tony Max Hawthorne, daughter, Pamela Hawthorne, grandson, D Hawthorne, siblings, Kermit Watson, Gaynell Watson, Ann Cobia, Jack Watson, Hazel Denson and Don Watson. Mrs. Hawthorne was a member of Brown's Chapel Church and was the former owner of Hawthorne's Grocery.

She is survived by her two sons, Bobby (Bittie) Hawthorne, Danny (Debra) Hawthorne; daughter, Sherry Hay; six grandchildren, Josh (Justine) Hawthorne, Leslie Hay (Brian) Hughes, Heather (Scott) Medine, Haley (Matt) Abrams, Tony (Ashley) Hawthorne, Jesse Hawthorne; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hawthorne, Brian Hughes, Tony Hawthorne, Jesse Hawthorne, Matt Abrams and Scott Medine.
