Sylacauga, AL. - Martial Lariviere, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Martial will always be remembered for his side splitting laugh and willingness to help others. The corny jokes told in his French Canadian accent will forever ring in the ears of his loved ones. He spent most of his free time mentoring other AA members as a 21 year sober member himself. He always tried his best to leave every situation better than he found it, whether that be through his humor or his generosity. He was a man who lived with a high moral compass and a heart for giving of himself that was second to none.
Martial is survived by his wife, Kimberly Lariviere; daughter, Felcia Lariviere; two bonus daughters, Brook Dockery (Aaron), Regan Thornton (Matthew); bonus son, Ronnie Claiborne (Leesha); and twelve grandchildren, Bexley Dockery, Claiborne Dockery, Dawsey Dockery, Addie Claiborne, Waylon Claiborne, Aubree Claiborne, Arianna Claiborne, Luke Claiborne, Madison Thornton, Braden Thornton, Hudson Thornton and Noah Thornton.
Martial was preceded in death by his parents, Gilles & Laurence Lariviere.
A visitation for Martial will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mark Deason officiating.
