Matthew had a remarkable gift for making people feel valued and uplifted, especially during difficult times. His warmth and genuine care left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He loved animals of all kinds and found joy in their companionship. A devoted sports fan, Matthew had a special passion for basketball—especially admiring Michael Jordan—and was a loyal supporter of Alabama football. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Matthew was always ready with a joke or a smile, bringing light into any room he entered.
He is survived by his loving mother, Angel Phillips; father, Mark Morris; grandfather, Bob Phillips; sister, Kristen Phillips; and brother, Brandon McDonald, along with a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Matthew’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
