Maurice Wayne Bowden - Sylacauga - Funeral service for Maurice Wayne Bowden, 68, will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery. Mr. Bowden passed away January 5, 2014 at Trinity Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Elmore Co. on September 15, 1945. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from Michelin Tire plant in Opelika in 2007. He is survived by wife, Alicia Bowden; children, Chris (Pam) Jacobo, Marcie (Tony) Ledbetter, Lawanda (Greg) Pruitt, Sham (Tracy) Forbus, Chad (Alicia) Forbus; brother, Terry Foster; grandchildren, Devin Forbus, Shayla Forbus Denham, Jerrica Pruitt, Nick, Scotty, Savannah Jacobo, Gage, Brittany, J.T. Ledbetter. Visitation will be January 7, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Pallbearers will be Derrick Denham, Bubba Payton, Terry Foster, Danny Cantrell, Devin Forbus, Brandon Knox.
