Poppy worked for Avondale around 40 years. He loved to travel roads unknown with the love of his life Carolyn. They shared the joy of spontaneous travel, never knowing where they would stop for the night.
He enjoyed working in the yard and creating gardens, containing many different types of plant life. He is loved by everyone and he loved everyone. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar. He loved ALabama football, and enjoyed watching the games with his son-in-law Roger or better known as my friend.
