Rodney Bates

He passed away October 5, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by His father; James Ralph Bates, and son; Richard Todd Bates. He is survived by his wife; Diane Bates, three sons; Jerail W. Batie (Heather), Rodney E. Bates Jr., and Randy Allen Bates, two daughters; SuPhronia M. Guinn and Angie Bates Duncan, Mother: Clemmie Bates Thomaston, three sisters; Barbara Murphree (Doug), Brenda Teaford (Ernie), and Bonnie Bryant (Lester), eighteen grandchildren plus Cole Edgin, and three great grandchildren. Rodney loved Alabama football, nascar racing and loved all his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and his great great nephew, Cameron Kellum, his little buddy. Pallbearers will be Scott Murphree, Brian Murphree, Doug DeLoach, Freddie Gaddis, Stephen Barnes, and Andrew Barnes.
