Ruth D. Baker

Mrs. Sarah Ruth Davis Baker age 92 of Vincent, Al went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2017.Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church in Vincent, Al with visitation from 1-2PM. Burial will be in Vincent Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vincent First Baptist Church. Mrs. Baker was born on January 24, 1925 to John R (Bob) Davis and Bessie Allgood Davis. She graduated from Vincent High School. She lived a full life; traveling with her husband’s work, teaching kindergarten, being tremendously active in her church and always serving others. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter; Beverly (Mark) Smith. Grandchildren; Josh (Brooke) Smith and Joanna (Chris) Camper. Five Great Grandchildren. Sisters; Lois Jones, Myrtle Lou Austin and Wynell (Charles) Turner and her Brother; Grady Davis. Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her Husband of 58 years Beryl Baker. Brothers; Frank James Barnett and Gordon . Sisters Gertrude, Louise and Roberta.
