Mrs. Ruth Basilone

Sylacauga, AL. - Mrs. Ruth Basilone, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Ruth was born in Ragland, Alabama.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Jasmun Basilone Simpson (Tyler); sister, Priscilla "Dale" Waid; nephews, Allen Smith (Ju Ju), Bobby Ellenburg, Gary Carr Jr. (Paula); grandchildren, Onna Simpson, Neveah Simpson, J.R. Ingram, James Ingram; and a host of beloved friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Serafino Basilone; parents, Cecil and Eva Lou Smith; brothers, Louie Robert Smith, Gene Autrey Smith; nephews, William Carr, Ricky Smith, Dennis Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation for Ruth will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, AL 35150, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Ruth will be laid to rest in McCormick Cemetery, 7828 McCormick Road, Dora, AL 35062.
