Samuel (Choctaw) Kite

Sylacauga, AL - Memorial service for Samuel (Choctaw) Kite, 72, will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Chaplain Mark Ledbetter officiating.

Mr. Kite died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his son, Sammie Kite, parents, Samuel Dyer and Betsie Kite and a host of brothers and sisters. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver with 52 years of service. Mr. Kite honorably served in the U.S. army with 7 years of service.

He is survived by four sons, Patrick Kite wife Maranda, Kevin Kite, Mike Kite wife Rhonda, Kenny Kite wife Emily; ten grandchildren, Patrick Allen, Kimberly Swain Scott, Matt Kite, Adam Gardner, Tanner Weathers, Erika Kite, Kelcie Kite, Conner Kite, Yance Kite, Kason Kite; honorary son, James Cullins; special friends, Ty Burkhaulter, Joe Hethcox, Timmy Wilson, Bo Usrey; and his loving dog, Bubba.

Visitation will be Thursday August 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.

The family will accept potted plants or donations may be made to American Legion Post # 68, P.O. Box 322 Childersburg, Alabama 35044.
