Funeral service for Samuel Dennis Roberson, age 71, of Childersburg will be Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend Bob Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery. He was preceded in death by mother: Elizabeth Sherrer; father: Harvey Roberson and grandchild: Hailey Faith Gable. He loved his grandchildren and his dog Lucy. He was a lifelong resident of Odena and retired after 35 years as a boilermaker from the Local 108 in Birmingham. He is survived by his Wife: Kathy Gable Roberson; Sons: Bobby Gable (Becky), Cory Gable (Carrie), Brandon Gable (Amy); 7 Grandchildren: Barbara Gable, Catheryn Gable, Michael Gable, Savannah Gable, Zoey Atkisson, Emma Gable, Ella Gable; Mother-in-law: Myrtle Peoples and his Lifelong Friend: Jack W. Green. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the services.
