Mrs. Sarah Nell Parker

Mrs. Sarah Nell Parker, age 80, of Sylacauga, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was retired from White's Grocery and Stan's Super Mart in Sylacauga. Mrs. Parker was a faithful member of Grimes Chapel Baptist Church, and was a member of the Cattlewomen's Association of Coosa County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Parker, and her sister, Shirley Lambert. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Betty Patton of Sylacauga; her nephews, Michael Patton and Blane Lambert of Sylacauga; her niece, Jennie Nicholson of Sylacauga; as well as several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Bill Gresham officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Patton, Blane Lambert, LeRoy Nicholson, Seth Nicholson, Homer Hamilton, and Chase Fowler. The family will accept flowers, or, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cattlewomen's Association of Coosa County/555 Hook Road/Alexander City, AL 35010.
