William Adrian Lovell

Mr. William "Adrian" Lovell, Sr., 91 of Sylacauga, AL, was called to be with the Lord on Friday evening, June 25. He died peacefully at UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Catherine Wright Lovell. Mr. Lovell was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Sylacauga where he was a life deacon, Sunday School teacher, involved in foreign missions, Carpenters for Christ, and the wheelchair ramp ministry. Mr. Lovell loved working in his garden, became a master gardener, and enjoyed sharing what he grew with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Martha "Midge" Lovell, son, W. Adrian Lovell, Jr. (Virginia), daughter, Kay Lovell Davis (Ron), step-daughter, Jennifer Hardison (Don), grandchildren, W. Adrian Lovell, III (Lauren), Jenifer Lovell Lewis (Kellan), Kathryn "Katie" Davis, great grandchildren, Chrissy Shaw, Alexis George, W. Adrian Lovell, IV, Tilson Lovell, Edwin Lovell, Henry Lewis, Virginia Lewis, John Lewis, brother H.C. Lovell, Jr., sister, Mary Pratt Blankenhorn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lovell will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 1 PM, visitation 12-1 PM, at the First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, AL, with Dr. Rick Patrick officiating. Graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. The family will accept flowers or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wheelchair Ramp Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Sylacauga.
