High Springs, FL (Formerly of Sylvania) – Catherine Bernice Waters Jefferson, age 81, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She was born in Screven County, GA to the late Hardy Clyde & Carrie Elizabeth Brant Waters. She was retired from Publix Supermarket and was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands: Jeff Jefferson and Wendell R. Zeagler; Son: Dennis Zeagler; Sister: Regis W. Thompson; Brother: Wade Waters.

Survivors: Daughter: Lynn Z. Matthews of Trenton, FL; Sons & Daughter-In-Law: Steve Zeagler of High Springs, FL and Wendell & Linda Zeagler of Trenton, FL; Sister: Mary Lou W. Parker of Savannah, GA; Brother: Lavaughn Waters of Sylvania, GA; Grandchildren: Jeffery Zeagler, Quinn Zeagler, Austin Zeagler and Travis Zeagler; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Friday, May 20, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Jamie Archer officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: James Parker, Tim Waters, Andy Waters, Michael Waters, Brian Thompson, Mike Thompson and Emerson Thompson.
