Dorothy Earlene Waters Pierce

Sylvania –Dorothy Earlene Waters Pierce, age 85, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, at her residence in Sylvania. She was born in Screven County, GA to the late Earl T. Waters and Marie Friese Waters Bassett. She was retired from Screven Co. Tax Assessors Office where she worked as a clerk for 17 years and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 31 years. She was also a member of McDonald Baptist Church WMU and she also loved to cook and be with her family. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands: Russell H. Waters and Howard E. (Bill) Pierce; Step-Daughter: Billie P. Rooks; Sister: Carolyn Bassett Sheley.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-In-Law: Julia W. & Kerry Sharpe of Sylvania; Son: Don Waters of Sylvania; Step-Daughter and Son-In-Law: Patricia P. & Brett Darr of Sylvania; Step-Son-In-Law: Charles Rooks of Sylvania; Sisters: Hilda W. Quick of The Villages, FL and Helen K. Waters of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Kayde S. & Yancey Moore of Brunswick, GA, Beth Sharpe of Sylvania and Russell Waters of Sylvania; Step-Grandchildren: Kristi W. Boles of Rutledge, GA, Jud Rooks and fiancé, Amber Gary of Statesboro, GA and Amber D. Baker of TN; Step-Great-Grandchildren: Madison Boles and Mallory Boles of Rutledge, GA and Cameron Baker of TN; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at McDonald Baptist Church.

Funeral Services: Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 3:00 PM at McDonald Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Gatlin and Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ted Lee, Charles Royal, Lloyd Herrington, Brice Royal, Kyle Reynolds and Stewart Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers: Congregation of McDonald Baptist Church.
