Janet Melissa "Sissy" Bragg

Sylvania –Janet Melissa “Sissy” Bragg, age 48, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at her residence in Sylvania. She was born in Jenkins County, GA to Clifford & June Williams Bragg. She was a homemaker and a member of Hiltonia Baptist Church. She also had the nickname of "Ellie Mae" because of her love for taking in wounded and stray animals of all kinds raising and nurturing them back to health. She loved riding four wheelers, mud boggin', boat riding, driving 18 wheelers, and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors: Her Parents; Sons and Daughters-in-Law: William & Ashley Stafford, Warren “Scooter” & Katie Stafford and Brian & Laura Stafford, all of Sylvania; Brothers and Sister-in-Law: Keith Bragg of Hiltonia, Ricky Bragg and Tracy & Becky Williams, all of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Emma Stafford, Christian Stafford, Ryan Stafford, and Karsten Rios; Several Nieces and Nephews; her Mother-in-Law: Gayle Rigdon of Sylvania; her Ex-Husband: Jeff Stafford of Sylvania.

Visitation: Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Hobbs officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: William Stafford, Scooter Stafford, Brian Stafford, Franklin Bragg, Christopher Doyle and Cody Doyle. Honorary Pallbearers: Spike Stafford, Gary Brown, Dodo Sanders, and Oliver Sanders.
