John Earl Lariscy Sr.

SYLVANIA, GEORGIA

Mr. John Earl Lariscy, Sr., age 88, of Sylvania, left his earthly home to receive his heavenly reward, on Saturday night, November 7, 2015, at Syl-View Health Care Center in Sylvania after a short illness.

He was born November 16, 1926, in Millen, Jenkins County, Georgia to the late Ethridge and Norma Lou Broxton Lariscy. He was a member of the Hurst Baptist Church and was a retired transport operator. He served in the Merchant Marines and enjoyed tending to his herd of goats.

Preceding Mr. Lariscy in death besides his parents were his wife, Doris Brown Lariscy and a brother, Billy Lariscy.

Surviving are, 2 Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Earlene L. and Jerry Owens and Darlene L. and Douglas Doyle all of Sylvania, 2 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Chuck and Debbie Lariscy of Garden City, Georgia and Marlon Lariscy of Sylvania, A Sister: Imogene L. Goodman of Augusta, Georgia, 13 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, 1 Niece and 2 Nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Lariscy will be held Monday, November 9, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurst Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Lariscy's grandsons: Travis Lariscy, Ronnie Robbins, Brad Lariscy, Jason Doyle, Paul Williams, and Marion Doyle, Jr.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:30 A.M. until the funeral hour at the church.
