Malcolm Wade McBride

Pooler/Sylvania, Georgia

Mr. Malcolm Wade McBride, 83, of Pooler, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at St.Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after a period of declining health.

He was born in Screven County, Georgia to Dewey and Delia Bragg McBride. He was a U. S. Army veteran. a member of the South Newington Baptist Church and was a retired bander at Georgia-Pacific in Savannah.

Survivors include, His Wife, Betty Williams McBride of Pooler, A Son and Daughter-in-Law, William Michael and Karen McBride of Moncks Corner, SC, A Grandson, Sean McBride of Florida, Great-Grandchildren, Taylor and Ashlyn McBride of Louisville, KY, and several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. McBride will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel in Sylvania with the Rev. Steve McCoy and the Rev. Rudine Becton officiating. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Grady Jenkins, Tommy McBride, Gary McBride, Vernie Allen, Dannie Allen and Gary Edenfield.

The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Williams.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
