

Sylvania – Milford David Stratton, Sr., age 82, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. He was born in St. Augustine, FL to the late Rufus B. & Ella Oesterricher Stratton. He was retired from the City of Jacksonville Beach, FL where he worked as a high voltage cable splicer and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he was the teacher for the Men’s Sunday School Class. He loved the Lord and his large family and he lived to hunt.
Survivors: Wife: Martha Fuller Stratton of Sylvania; Daughters: Debra S. Dyal of St. Augustine, FL, Anita S. Booth and her significant other, J.R. Fields, of Cedar Point, NC and Step-Daughter, Rebecca Parrish of Sylvania; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Milford David, Jr. & Tammy Stratton of St. Augustine, FL and Step-Sons, James Boring of Valdosta, GA and Bobby Boring of Gainesville, GA; Sisters: Lenora Pekote of Bryceville, FL and Cecelia Day of Ormond Beach, FL; Brother: Rufus C. “Bubba” Stratton of St. Augustine, FL; 16 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Wall and Rev. Douglas Cone officiating. Burial at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ryan Reddick, Grady Reddick, Bobby Boring, Jimmy Boring, David Stratton and Brandon Stratton. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Men’s Sunday School Class of Friendship Baptist Church, David Bragg, Jimmy Connor, Ed Friese, Calvin Cannon and Raymond Mickler.
