St. Mary’s, GA (formerly of Sylvania) – Thelma Harrison Whitley Lewis, age 97, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Magnolia Manor in St. Mary’s, GA. She was born in Screven County to the late Phillip William, Sr. & Valarie Evans Harrison, was a retired school teacher and was a member of Fernandina First Baptist Church for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands: Chesley Whitley and L.V. Lewis.
Survivors: Son: Hal Whitley of Fernandina, FL; Sister: Burdell H. Mobley of Evans, GA: Brother: P. W. “Bill” Harrison, Jr. of Sylvania, GA; Grandchildren: Ivory Mulholland of Pinehurst, NC and Jacob Whitley of Fairbanks, AL; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Graveside Service: Thursday, March 24, 2016, at11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Al Usher officiating. Burial following.
