Born on January 27, 1930, in Maspeth, Queens, NY, Ann was the daughter of Frank Giovanniello and Palma Zaccheo. She enjoyed a faithful life, always eager to learn and grow.
Ann's early education took place in Catholic schools until her high school graduation. She later pursued a career as a secretary and typist, dedicating her professional life to her work.
In 1960, Ann married Thomas J. Scurti, and together they began a family in 1961, blessed with three children, John, Frank and Marianne. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her personal interests included baking, walking, gardening, and writing, which she pursued at Westbury College. Ann's love for her grandchildren was evident, and she was deeply involved in their lives. Her religious faith was a guiding force throughout her life.
Ann was also active in her community, volunteering at the St. Paul the Apostle Soup Kitchen, where she made many friends and left a lasting impact.
She is survived by her children, John Scurti (Marilu), Frank Scurti, and Marianne Migliore (Ralph); her grandchildren, Thomas Scurti, Jack Scurti, Amanda Salemi, Angela Scurti, and Anthony Salemi; and her sister, Florence Coppola. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Scurti, her sister, Christine DiBari, and her brothers, Theodore Giovanniello and Vincent Giovanniello.
A visitation for Ann will be held at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791, on June 25, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 2534 Cedar Swamp Road, Glen Head, NY 11545 on June 26, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792.
