A visitation for Hertha will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791. A funeral mass will occur Friday, April 11, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 93 Anstice St, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. A committal will occur Friday, April 11, 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Hertha's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, cancer.org/dignitymemorial
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
