RIP Joe aka FEZZIK --

I was a lurker on Joe's channel. I just enjoyed his insights on life, the universe, and everything. As the Vulcans might say, Abi etek ragel-tor svi'thurai ha'kiv. (Until we meet in the next life.)

Joe was truly a one of a kind man. He was kind to everyone and quick to welcome everyone into his online circle of friends. I've known Joe online for years, sadly we never got to meet, but I will always count him as one of my close friend. I pray his family takes solace in knowing that he managed to reach so many people and made many more friends. My condolences to MomOPrey and SisOprey, rest in peace Joe, you will never be forgotten.

Joe was an amazing guy. He knew how to brighten up life for everyone, even when he was fighting so hard himself.  I want to thank him for everything he did for his friends.

His YouTube work helped me through some tough times. That's something I'll never forget. Even here, halfway around the globe, BirdOPrey5 will be remembered.

Although I never met Joe face to face, I feel like I lost a good friend. I live in New Jersey. So, I definitely bonded with him and MomOPrey with our common Italian ancestry and family ties to NYC. 
He brought joy to my life and to the lives many others with his YouTube channel BirdOPrey5. We shared a similar sense of humor, a love for Star Trek, and like-minded political views. 
He made Friday afternoons particularly fun with his livestreams. I  loved to send him superchats. It was fun to show my support and may be get a "Kissing Dax" clip for a good belly laugh! His passion and humor were contagious and his demeanor could make anyday better. 
His iconic taglines "Hello World" and usage of Klingon-derived terms such as "Hail Caroga" and "Qapla" will be with his fans for life. He really made a home for his fellow nerds to hangout and enjoy like-minded company.
My family and I are praying for Joe and his family. Rest well my friend and Qapla!

Joe was a subscriber to my channel back when it was called AntiTrekker, he always had something interesting to say, and he was always quite strong in his opinions. After a while I started telling him to make his own videos, something that another YouTuber did for me some 10 years prior. Joe did just that and built a strong community. his humor is legendary, his rants iconic. Yes, Joe and I disagreed on some topics, but underneath we were close friends for these last several years. I am releaved that his suffering is over, and I know he is at peace. I miss him and will always miss him. Thanks for the fun times, and the fights.

I will remember Joseph/BirdOPrey5 for his passion for Star Trek, his easy-going nature, and his cheeky sense of humour. He was a respected member of the community and I and many others will miss his presence.

There was no one like Bird he could make you laugh when you thought you couldn't. And even thought he was going though his own health issues he would still lend you an ear. 

This has hit me like an gut punch. I miss everything about him. It hurts so much I will never hear his iconic "Hello World" . He was the only Youtuber that I would get an smile when his notifications hit my phone. He was the glue to this community, and he invited me in to it even though he didn't know me. He always made me  feel welcome at his streams. 

There really is a giant Bird shaped hole in my heart, but as much as I hurt I know his family is going though worse. So I pray for them to know Joe is at peace and he was loved by so many people from around this world. He was a true Warrior to the very end. Qapla my dear friend and Hail Caroga!

I am really at a loss of words.  Joe was a good friend of mine from You Tube.  He was there for me when i desided to try my hand in it. He encouraged me, He was truely one gentle giant. I got to be a part of his online family and real life family.  He is truely going to be missed by all. This is completely a gut shot.  Taken way too soon.  My love to the family during this time of grief.

My earliest memory of Joe was one night when the Anti-Trekker signed off early from a stream and told everyone to join one of a reluctant BirdOPrey5's early streams.  The rest is history.  I know streaming was kinda like therapy for him. It was always a good time for us. I regret not getting to know him more personally. I hope he knew what he meant to all his fans, especially since we knew him for such a short time. He had the best sense of humor I have ever seen, even despite his circumstances. His mother is nothing less than a saint for all the care she provided and all the MomOPrey tales she shared that helped us know the real Joe. See you on the other side.

You will always be remembered as long as we pass on your legacy of your YouTube channel along with the friendship that we all shared with you.

JOE  My Friend BIRDOPREY5 Was  A Knight Brother Warrior who always Lifftted Me Up When I Was  Feeling Down Gave Me strength to Be Better Rose from my  Darkest Moments and Talked Me Out OF Giving up. It made Sure That  I didn't give up It inspired me And the perseverance never To give up and never Surrender.

Joe, or BirdOPrey5 as so many of us knew him from his YouTube channel, was and still is an inspiration to us all.  Disabled and living in a bed for 15 years, he showed that a person can still be productive and beneficial to the world.  He would always start his YouTube streams with "Hello world! It's BirdOPrey5! Qapla'!" Qapla'! meaning "Success!" in Klingon from his beloved Star Trek. Those words brought delight to all that watched. From there, he would share his world with his audience with such passion, love, and tenderness through stories, game playing, movie and TV show watch parties, and of course his beloved family including his mom, sister, nephew, and the family puppy.  Everyone loved him and he loved everyone.  He was the perfect happiness ambassador on YouTube, welcoming all and inspiring all.  His wit and humor were impeccable.  He will be missed by so many people. Qapla'!, Joe!  You are truly a class act.  We love you and miss you.

I've only known him for a few months, but having him around every day on StreamYard just became a part of life for that time, part of the day, saying hello every day and chatting about this and that. And he was just the perfect person for doing that, being smart and educated but communicating in a very down to Earth sort of way, the kind of person you just naturally enjoy chatting with. It was almost unreal to hear the news that he left us because he was such a fixture, someone that was just an integral part of the environment that you can't imagine ever not being there. 

It won't be the same without him, he will absolutely be missed.

Bird was always ready to lighten the room and as host online to thousands of followers, and found a way to make the interaction real and personal accepting all. Having a great sense of humor goes a long way and Bird as we call him was one of the best. The word Bird is forever changed in my head replaced by an awesome guy. And I got to share a birthday with the infamous Sassy. 

More memories than I can share playing Space Engineers to all the hours just chatting. I once made an entire video of Joe Sleeping on camera.  Now Joe is enjoying the true final frontier ahead of us. gonna miss you Bird. Until we meet again.

Fly free and far Bird. No longer in the confines of your body. You are now in freedom to see every flower and land in every tree on every planet in the universe. BirdOprey5 or Joe was a wonderful friend. I had the privilege of interacting with him multiple times over the years on streams both live and offline. 

Our standard greeting was Qa'pla as we started our interaction and ended them. 

He was so insightful on his knowledge and I was glad I could share my own with him. 

He almost always had a positive energy about him and even when he was hurting or in pain, he would push beyond.

I still remember him trying flight simulators many times and even though he wasn't the best, you could tell he certainly tried. 

He will be sorely missed terribly by us in the online community on YouTube. I'm thankful I got to be a friend of his and I will definitely miss him.

Joe was a great guy. Some of my most favorite moments were battling him in space engineers. He always made me laugh.  It was always a good day when he streamed.  My life is better knowing him. I will deeply miss him. Love you Bird, Hope to see you in the next life.

Words do not even come close to describing this man. Joe DiBiasi influenced my life greatly and I know he did the same to many others. Joe, or BirdOPrey5 as many of us knew him, was a great person to know. He brought joy into the lives of many people. I have lots of great memories of Bird: watching all of Deep Space 9 along with him, enjoying his unique brand of wisdom in Dear BOP, experiencing rants of epic proportions, and much more. Joe was a great friend and shining light to all those who knew him.  I will always remember his infectious smile and laughter.  I will always cherish the memories and time spent with him. I met Joe on Youtube and wrote 3 songs for him. Once I knew him it didn't seem like there was ever a time in my life that I didn't know him. He had such a gift of endearing himself to anyone and everyone. I loved his sense of humor and his attitude of always looking at the bright side of things.  I will miss him.  Prayers for the Dibiasi family.

I only got to know Joe through his YouTube channel, but always loved getting to watch his live streams of DS9 and getting to chat with him when he'd join Michael and me on the Virtual Pub.  Joe was a big reason I started doing stuff online and really appreciated the community he helped build up.
I'll miss his bedlife streams and dearbops.  Thanks for sharing him with us "MomOPrey" and "SisOPrey"

"Bird" was a friend to many - myself included. He will be missed by many.  Of my friend I can only say this: Of all the souls I've encountered in my travels, his was the most human.
