Graceful Aunt Margrit and upbeat Uncle Stuart remain a favorite duo of mine.  As a little girl, I would await their cheerful arrival at family gatherings. Stuart, an expert musician, so ready to share his love of music with others. Margrit, my lovely aunt with a melodic accent, and the perfect accompaniment. Such a charismatic pair with mesmerizing kindness. 

Even at my 2003 wedding, Aunt Margrit and Uncle Stuart treated me the same as they did when I was a child--full of encouragement and congratulations. Coming from a couple happily married since 1959, their kindness resonates 12 years later.

Uncle Stuart's twinkling eyes that seemed to reflect an inner happiness and wisdom were gifts amplified with Aunt Margrit by his side. I am grateful for such examples that showed me kindness is the way. Yet, there was a stern wisdom to Uncle Stuart's happy eyes too. 

Perhaps Gandhi explains the connection between my great uncle's intrinsic kindness, his jovial attitude, and the legacy he leaves behind as a wonderful family man when he said, Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny. 

That enchanting, twinkling magic in concert with Uncle Stuart's wisdom has no end.  Stuart and Margrit's symphony plays on. . . eternally, triumphantly, forte.  What a wonderful couple, always a lady and always a gentleman.  Nothing will erase those facts, your legacy of kindness, or the destiny you created.  You have helped me teach my own children the right way to be, and in doing so, composed a lasting legacy of kindness, virtue, and strength.  You wrote the song!

So sorry for your loss but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know Stuart.  He will always have a special place in our hearts.  The 3 of us were friends as teens. I later married his brother, Murray.  I am thankful that I had the chance to know him because that means he lives on in the mind and heart of one more person.
 
May the almighty give you the ability and strength to remember and share the loving memories and good times you had as a family.

Dear Grosse Schwester and Children,
 
You remain in our thoughts as you now adjust to life without the sweet music which was Uncle Stuart.
 
Never in all our years have we observed a marriage as noble, respectful, enchanting, and fun as that of Margrit and Stuart. You can be so proud of the mutual devotion which was an example to all of a deep and true love.
 
May a lifetime of endearing memories sustain you in the future.
