

Angelina (Gervasi) Consilvio, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday. Born in Linguaglossa, Italy, she was a Syracuse resident for 58 years. Angelina retired as a Seamstress from Leabury’s Clothing Store and was also a former employee of Julies Resnick Pocket Book Factory for nine years. She was a communicant of St. John’s the Baptist Church. Predeceased by her parents, Vito and Carmela Gervasi and her brother and sister in-law, Concetto (Nina) Gervasi. Angelina was a very devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her and took great pride in that. She loved to have parties and loved entertaining with all of her wonderful meals she prepared on a daily basis. She was the most caring and welcoming individual with a heart of pure gold and will be missed for the rest of our lives.
Angelina is survived by her husband of 58 years, Angelo Consilvio; two daughters, Mary Ann (John) Russo of Liverpool and Marie (Angelo) LaFace of North Syracuse; one son, William Consilvio of Syracuse; her mother, Rose Gervasi of Syracuse; sisters, Mellina (Abe) Remson and Josie Gervasi, both of Syracuse, and Gina (Ramin) Zargarian of Los Angeles; brother, Egidio Gervasi of North Syracuse; five grandchildren, Delanie LaFace, John (Danielle) LaFace, Dominick (Angela) LaFace, Carmena LaFace, and Terri anne LaFace; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 8:15 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. at St. John’s the Baptist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Entombment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
