

Frances Stagnitta Damico, 88, of Syracuse passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on Saturday. She retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1983 where she worked for 22 years. After retirement she spent the winters with her husband in Florida at her son’s home. She was a sergeant at arms with the Egeidio Abate Society, and a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. Mrs. Damico enjoyed bowling, dancing and was always laughing. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Ralph; son, Joseph Damico and brother-in-law, James Carioti.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law Maria and Vic Coogan; son, James Damico grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Coogan; sisters, Connie Carioti of Liverpool, Palma (Armond) Felber of North Syracuse and Maryann (Dick) Cusano of Florida; brother, Joseph (Lucy) Stagnitta of New Port Richey, FL; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St Peter Church or Hospice of CNY.
