George Hines

George Hines, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Liberty County, Georgia, he resided in Syracuse since 1956. George retired from P&C Warehouse after 34 years of service.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce (Nathaniel) Bates of Savannah, GA, Sharon Smith, and Shantina (Ray) Kyles of Syracuse; sons, Harvey B. (Donna) Williams of New Orleans, Theo D. Hines of Syracuse, and Jeffrey T. (Robin) Hines of Oswego; brothers, Rudolph Hines of Atlanta and Doyle Hines, Jr. of Syracuse; devoted niece, Wanda (Gregory) Hines McGriff of Baldwinsville; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland, Georgia.

The family requests that flowers be sent to the church in Groveland, GA. Burial will be in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
