George R. Porter, Jr.

George R. Porter, Jr., 77, of Liverpool passed away Friday. Born in Syracuse, George was a life resident of the area. He retired from Niagara Mohawk after 38 years of service and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

George is survived by his daughter, Kim (Jeff) Parody of Central Square; his son, Eric (Trish) Porter of Liverpool; three sisters, Beverly Perunko of Maine, Lucy Heacock of Albany and Dorothy (Matt) Gooby of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Parody, Braden Porter and Emmit Porter; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of floor 1-8 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday 10 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME.

Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Dewitt.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
