

Guido F. Lancellotti, 86, a lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away Sunday evening at home surrounded by family. He retired from the City of Syracuse Parks & Recreation in 1987. He also enjoyed many years with the Syracuse Chiefs. Mr. Lancellotti served his country proudly during WWII in the US Navy with an honorable discharge after serving two tours.
He is predeceased by his wife, Hope in 2010; brother, Fred; sisters, Laura D’Addario and Clem DelNero.
Guido is survived by sons, Peter Michael (Jean) of Knoxville, TN and Ric of Sarasota, FL; granddaughters, Lisa (Stephen) Pinkerton of Baldwinsville and Tricia (Eric) Feher of Syracuse; grandson, Michael (Mindy) Stander of Hastings; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jimmy, Tara, Kelly, Daniel, Mike and Mitch and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 8:15 a.m. from FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. at St. Daniel’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
A special thank you to his nieces, Brenda D’Addario, for her unconditional love and care she has provided over the years, and to Linda Jaquint for making his last days more comfortable. Also, a special thank you to the Gentiva staff for the special attention they provided.
