James E. Holiday, Sr.

James E. Holiday, Sr., 76, of Liverpool, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012, at home. He was born in Rocky Mount, NC, and resided in Newport News, VA and Syracuse. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He was predeceased by parents Eddie and Clara Bell Holiday and grandson, Pierre’ Hackett.

Survived by daughters: Colette Clarkson (Derval) of Somerset, NJ, Bonita Thornton (Eddie), Iris and Tanya Holiday, and Kimberly Freeman (Alan), all of Syracuse; sons: James, Jr. of Buffalo, NY, and Darren Holiday, of Syracuse; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Wednesday, March 28th, at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park St., Syracuse, NY 13208; between 4:00 and 7:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 29th, at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie St., Syracuse 13224; at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Veterans Cemetery.
