

Joseph Camerota, 95, of East Syracuse passed away Monday at the Crossings. He was a life resident of the Syracuse area. Joseph retired as a Master Woodworker and was the owner and operator of Hollywood Kitchen and Cabinet Shop in East Syracuse. Mr. Camerota and his wife performed in many restaurants in the Syracuse area and they also were on the Horace Heidt National T. V. show with their eldest son, Ernest and traveled throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. He also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of America, Monarch and Cedar Industries teaching woodworking. He was the recipient of the Jefferson Award for volunteerism.
Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine T. Camerota.
Survivors: His sons, Ernest Camerota of East Syracuse and Eugene (Laurie) Camerota of Brewerton; daughter, Maurita (Michael) Marley of Liverpool; grandchildren, Joel, Crista, Jess, Jacob and Stephanie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday 8:45 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
