Louis Benedetto

Louis Benedetto, 93, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at James Square after a brief illness. A life resident of Syracuse he retired from Carrier Corp. in 1980 after 21 years. Prior to working at Carrier, he was a Meat Cutter at many local markets. Louis was a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Mr. Benedetto is a US Army Veteran of WWII. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2001.

Louis is survived by his sons, Richard S. (Lynn) Benedetto of Hampstead, NC and Peter J. Benedetto (Kitty Massara) of Syracuse; sisters, Rose Pietrafesa of Syracuse and Anne Phalen of Lake Havasu, AZ; grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Benedetto of Syracuse, Lisa Benedetto of Boulder, CO and Dannielle Benedetto of Syracuse; great-grandchildren, Sierra Ray and R.J. Benedetto and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 9:45 a.m. from PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call, Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
