Mary L. Corona

Mary L. Barber Corona, 82, of Syracuse passed away Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Penfield, NY and has lived in Syracuse most of her adult life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. Mary’s husband Joseph Corona of 36 years passed away in 1988.

She is survived by her sons, Charles (Clara) and John Corona both of Syracuse; grandson, Michael (Courtney) Corona of Brewerton; great-grandson, Cameron Corona; brother, John (Shirley) Barber of Owasco, NY; nephew, Larry Barber of Syracuse; niece, Ann McCarthy of Syracuse and many more nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her sisters, Marie Barber, Bev Denelsbeck, Lois Quick and Charlotte Rizzo; brothers, Mike, Harold, Chuck Barber.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:15 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
