

Mary J. Speach, 99, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Iroquois Nursing Home. A life resident of Syracuse, she was a homemaker and a former employee of Dey Brothers in the Millenary Department and also worked for Wells & Coverly’s Haven Hall. She was a member of the Lincoln Republican Club. Mary enjoyed summers at her camp on Oneida Lake and spending winters in Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmen Speach in 1999.
Survivors include her two sons, Norman (Joanne) Speach and Ronald (Georganne) Speach, both of Syracuse; sisters Ann (Nick) Pezzollo of Long Island and Margie (Jack) Bacola of N.C., beloved grandchildren, Christa Speach, Dr. David (Dr. Elissa) Speach, Lisa (Stephen) Abbe, Brian (Theresa) Speach, Pamela Speach, Dr. Erica (Bryan) Menar; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 8:15am at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 9 am at St. Daniel Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
