Michael Vecchiarelli

Now for eternity Mike strolls with his lovely bride, Vicky. Mike was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and graduated from Assumption School prior to his service in the United States Army during WWII. Upon return, he met and married Victoria Minichillo who predeceased him in 2001.

Mike and Vicky had two children, Eileen (Donald) Gardiner and Anthony (Katie) Vecchiarelli. Mike enjoyed spending time at his camp with his family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling with his brothers, Nick and Joe. He was a dedicated union man, rising to the level of President of the Syracuse Branch of the NALC, while carrying out his duties as a Postal Carrier. In addition to his children he is also survived by his sister, Mary (Barry) Pickard; sister-in-law, Margaret (John) Briant; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 9:30 a.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in Assumption Church. Burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours: Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
