Penny Hurd Taylor

Penny I. (Hurd) Taylor, 52, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday. Born in Auburn, NY, she was a life resident of the Syracuse area. A graduate of Assumption School, Penny was a former Owner/Operator of Hurd Hair Salon. She was a communicant of Assumption Church. She was predeceased by her husband, David Taylor in 2012 and her parents, Kenneth and Lula Hurd. Penny is survived by one daughter, Samantha Taylor of Syracuse; son, Kendrick Taylor of Syracuse; caregiver and cousin, Karen Hurd; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to Samantha and Kendrick Taylor at any First Niagara Bank. The family would like to thank the staff at Upstate Hospital and especially Dr. Lempke for their care and compassion given to Penny during her time there. Farone & son Funeral Home has arrangements.
