

Roberto Jimenez, 59, of Syracuse entered into eternal life on Monday, May 27, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and educated in Havana, Cuba and has resided in Syracuse for the last 33 years. Roberto loved his family unconditionally with is children being his life. He was formally employed at Syracuse Developmental Center, Hueber-Breuer Demolition First and Jabez Construction prior to his illness. He is predeceased by his father, Alberto Jimenez, Sr.; grandmother, Christina Ortiz and brother, Alberto Jimenez, III.
Cherishing his memory are his wife, Elaine Williams; mother, Ubelinda Ortiz; mother-in-law, Albena Williams; children, Yahzariah (Zariah) Yushahmir (Nia) and Jennifer Jimenez all of Syracuse, Yusimi, Leonel and Roberto Jimenez all of Havana, Cuba; grandchildren, Roseanna and Marlin Jimenez Havana, Cuba; brothers, Alberto, Jr. and Alberto, III Jimenez of Rochester and Hiram Jimenez of Syracuse and five brothers and one sister of Havana, Cuba and many uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 12 noon at Bellegrove Missionary Baptist Church, 219 W. Castle Street, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
